The reality in manufacturing
Manufacturers in Ghana typically run production, quality, inventory, and maintenance records on a mixture of paper logs, spreadsheets, and a partially-implemented ERP. Ghana Standards Authority requirements and export certification demand traceable quality records, yet the data supporting them is often reconstructed after the fact. Machine downtime is expensive and usually reactive, because the information that would make it predictable is never captured in a usable form.
